The Art of Charitable Planning www.abagmd.org/homepage2357/index.htm- The Baltimore Giving Project, together with the Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers, has developed this valuable resource to help professional advisors address charitable giving issues with their clients.

Leave A Legacy www.leavealegacyminnesota.org/advisors.cfm - A community-based program to help people learn about charitable giving through a will or from an estate, LEAVE A LEGACY™ does NOT solicit gifts for any particular organization. The program is a cooperative effort of all types of nonprofit groups including social service and arts organizations, churches, hospitals, educational institutions and other philanthropic groups.

National Center of Family Philanthropy www.ncfp.org - The NCFP was established by a group of family philanthropists to focus solely on the matter of importance of families engaged in philanthropy and their effective giving.

New Tithing Group www.newtithing.org - Founded by money manager and philanthropist Claude Rosenberg, the New Tithing Group educates the public and their advisors about how to make comfortably affordable charitable donations through sound budgeting. Using philanthropic research and planning tools, the Group helps individuals lead more meaningful lives with the knowledge that they are improving the public good at their own comfortable capacity.

The Philanthropic Initiative www.tpi.org - A non-profit organization formed in 1989 to help donors increase their impact through the development of innovative and strategic approaches to philanthropy. TPI strives to increase the amount and impact of philanthropic resources through donor education and research.

The Women’s Philanthropy Institute

Doing Well by Doing Good—Improving Client Service, Increasing Philanthropic Capital: The Legal and Financial Advisor's Role (pdf) Published in March 2000. The Philanthropic Initiative launched this 15-month research project to learn the degree to which professional advisors are providing philanthropic guidance to their clients (non-existent-to-comprehensive), what influences this, and further, what impact this advice has on donors. Some 550 insurance professionals, financial advisors, accountants, lawyers and donors were surveyed for this study.

The Donor Advisor: The Critical Role of the Advisor in Family Philanthropy (pdf) This essay describes the growth of philanthropy and offers views from donors on how they think advisors can best support them in pursuing their charitable interests.
